–Tijuana Flats’ Just in Queso Foundation Announces Donation Results to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation–
ORLANDO, Fla (October 26,2011) –Tijuana Flats’ Just in
Queso Foundation, which provides aid to individuals, communities and organizations in need , presented its fifth annual Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser. In just two weeks, the Just in Queso Foundation raised in remarkable $39,506 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), supporting its mission to achieve prevention and a cure for breast cancer.
From September 30 to October 16, Tijuana Flats donated $3 of every bottle sold from its Just in Queso charity hot sauce sales to the BCRF. Customers could purchase the hot sauce both online and in the restaurant’s 76 locations nationwide. Generous individuals also made personal donations to the cause.
Tijuana Flats’ Jacksonville location (13529 Beach Boulevard Suite) raised the most money. The hardworking team and dedicated customers were able to raise nearly $2,500 to benefit the BCRF. Coming in a close second was the Tijuana Flats location in Miramar, Fla.(14633 Miramar Parkway), raising nearly $2,000.
“Over the past 5 years, we’ve proudly raised over $190,000 to BCRF,” said Just in Queso President Dede Franklin. “Each bottle purchased by our loyal customers allows us to help BCRF achieve its goals and especially its mission of prevention and finding a cure.”
