TIJUANA FLATS BRINGS THE HEAT TO SOUTH TAMPA
— Restaurant Slated to Open on October 27th –
ORLANDO, FL (October 22, 2014) – On Monday, October 27th, Tijuana Flats, known for its made-to-order, fresh, tex-mex and unique wall art, will open in South Tampa at 1617 W. Platt Street at the corner of Platt St. and Rome Ave. This restaurant will employ 40-50 team members to include management, back of the house and front of the house employees.
“Our upcoming South Tampa location fills a missing gap for us in the Greater Tampa Bay area. We cannot wait to bring the brand to this beautiful location and community,” said Brad Kaemmer, Chief Executive Officer for Tijuana Flats.
The restaurant is 2,884 sq. ft. and has 98 seats indoors and 24 outdoor patio seats. Guests can dine in or takeout as well as sample any of the 15 different hot sauces on a free standing triangular hot bar. The wall mural, a staple at all Tijuana Flats but personalized to each location, will display rogue pirates raiding Tampa Bay.
Additionally, the location will feature energy-efficient equipment and environmentally friendly processes to include: menus on recycled paper and energy efficient LED Lighting with an average life of 50K hours.

This location will feature a weekly happy hour from 4-7pm, every Monday through Friday featuring $2 drafts, $2 wines, $3 sangrias and $10 buckets.
