Hearts Apart

Throughout the month of May, every children's meal at Tijuana Flats (www.tijuanaflats.com) came with a crayons and a coloring sheet, that when folded, created a Thank You card for the troops overseas. The children were encouraged to color in the cards and write a special note for the troops to wish them well and let them know how much they are appreciated and loved. In total, Tijuana Flats collected 6,000 cards!

We are sending them out this week in order for them to arrive during the 4th of July holiday. They are being sent through an organization called Hearts Apart, an organization that supports the spouses of deployed soldiers. In total, the cards will be divided and distributed to ten different stations throughout the Middle East. We will also be sending other Tijuana Flats goodies to the troops (hot sauces, t shirts, etc.) along with the cards.
