'SPANK' OR 'GET SPANKED' FOR A GOOD CAUSE
Tijuana Flats Launches "Just in Queso" Wine; Proceeds Benefit Restaurant's Foundation
ORLANDO, Fla. - With the efforts of raising money and awareness for its Just In Queso Foundation, Tijuana Flats launches its own line of limited edition "Smack My Ass...And Call Me Sally!" wines.
Priced at $15.00 per bottle, the wines are available as a Chardonnay titled, "Smack My Ass and Call Me Sally...Spanked" and as a California red titled, "Smack My Ass and Call Me Sally...Gettin' Spanked." Gift packs are for sale at $29.95 and includes one bottle of each wine wrapped in a "Just in Queso" gift box. The gift packs also include a recipe for Tijuana Flats'
Spicy Sangria that uses the restaurant's signature hot sauce, "Smack My Ass and Call Me Sally!" as a main ingredient. $1.25 from the sale of each bottle and $2.50 from each gift pack will go to foundation.
The idea for Tijuana Flats to add wines to its already popular line of mouth-numbing hot sauces came from Tijuana Flats' founder, Brian Wheeler, when he purchased a bottle of similar charity wine from the New Orleans Saints' football team. The team has a similar wine where proceeds go to residents of New Orleans who still endure hardships resulting from hurricane Katrina.
"I was so inspired by the idea that I contacted the same people who helped the New Orleans Saints launch their charity wines," said Wheeler. "Charity Wines [the wine distributer] has created many successful wines for professional sports teams, athletes and other celebrities and
we are thrilled to be working with them to help raise money for our foundation."
Both Smacked and Gettin' Smacked are now for sale at all Tijuana Flats' Florida locations.
